Perfect for analyzing writing, summarizing book themes, brainstorming sessions, classroom displays, or creating engaging visuals for presentations. Customize colors, exclude common words, and download your cloud as an image.

Frequently Asked Questions

The generator counts how often each word appears in your text. Words that appear more frequently are displayed larger. This creates a visual summary where the most important or common themes stand out immediately. Colors are assigned randomly from your chosen color scheme.

Common words (also called stopwords) are words like 'the', 'a', 'is', 'and', 'to' that appear frequently in any text but don't carry meaning. Excluding them lets meaningful content words stand out. Keep them included if you're analyzing writing patterns or teaching parts of speech.

Word clouds are great for: summarizing book themes for reports, analyzing speeches or historical documents, brainstorming and capturing ideas, classroom vocabulary displays, visualizing survey responses, creating engaging presentation slides, and making posters or decorations.

Rotated words (turned 90 degrees) add visual interest and help fit more words into the display. You can turn off rotation in the options if you prefer all words horizontal. This is purely aesthetic and doesn't affect the word frequency analysis.
