Cut points are the College Board 2012 AP Calculus BC Practice Exam scoring worksheet: composite out of 108, multiple choice scaled to 54, free response worth 54. That form multiplied 45 multiple-choice questions by 1.2000. The May 2027 exam has 42 multiple-choice questions, still 50% of the score, so each correct answer is multiplied by 54/42. The BC worksheet also prints a separate AB subscore chart, which this calculator does not apply. College Board sets the operational curve after the exam.

How this exam is entered
Calculus BC uses the same timing shape as AB: multiple choice is 50% and six free-response questions are 50%. On the May 2027 exam the multiple-choice section is 42 questions, scaled here to the 54 points on the 2012 worksheet. Each free-response question is still scored out of 9, including question 5, whose parts together are one 9-point question on that worksheet.
The 2012 BC chart is a point higher at the top than the AB chart from the same year: 68 to 108 was a 5, 56 to 67 was a 4, 42 to 55 was a 3, 35 to 41 was a 2, and 0 to 34 was a 1. BC students also receive an AB subscore. The 2012 worksheet prints a separate subscore chart, and this page does not calculate it.

Its cut points sit one or two points above the AB chart from the same year, so the same composite can read a score lower here: 67 was a 5 on the AB sheet and is a 4 on this one. The AB subscore chart printed on the same worksheet is not applied.
